Chamber Open House

Your Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber has moved to a new location! Join us for an Open House event at our brand-new office space in Arnolds Park at 565 S Hwy 71 – Suite 4. Tours will be available from 4:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, June 25thwith a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30PM.

Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis will be grilling burgers for those in attendance from 5:00-6:30PM. This event is FREE to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Business After 5

The fun has only just begun for the summer season in Okoboji. Join your community members at our July Business After Five networking events. The first will be held on Tuesday, July 9th at Okoboji Sailing Center with co-hosts Iowa Lakeside Lab and Iowa Lakes Corridor Development. The event will be held from 5:00-7:00PM. The second of these July networking opportunities will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at The Inn Hotel with co-host The Three Sons.


Come enjoy food, drinks, prizes, and networking! Business After 5 events are open to the public—all are encouraged to attend these fun and rewarding Lakes Area networking opportunities. The cost is $5 per person.

University of Okoboji Oktoberfest

Join us Saturday, September 28, 2019 for the 28th Annual University of Okoboji Oktoberfest!


University of Okoboji Oktoberfest originated 28 years ago with the bike ride. Cyclists have been able to experience the Iowa Great Lakes area in all of its fun & beauty even after what most people recognize as the “summer season” for Okoboji. With the leaves changing to their breath-taking shades of colors to the glistening waters of the lakes, Okoboji is definitely the place to be this fall! Join us for a weekend of the classic bike ride, live music, food, drinks, games and activities.

Walleye Weekend Donation

The Chamber of the Iowa Great Lakes was thrilled to be able to present checks from Walleye Weekend proceeds to local Lake Protective Associations in the Iowa Great Lakes area.

The four Lake Protective Associations that will receive an equal portion of the $21,312.52 donation include: Center Lake Protection & Improvement Association, East Lake Okoboji Improvement Corporation, Okoboji Protective Association, and Spirit Lake Protective Association.
