Iowa Rocks Talent

“Iowa Rocks Talent” is a statewide program for musicians 21 and under to encourage participation in music outside of school, grow awareness of music trends across the state, and provide an opportunity for professional development of young musicians. First prize includes a recording session at Catamount Recording in Cedar Falls and an opportunity to perform at the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Concert Labor Day weekend.

Originally called “Battle of the Bands”, “Iowa Rocks Talent” is open to both individual and group vocalists and instrumentalists as well as bands. Qualifying Rounds are held in multiple locations across the state. Qualifiers from each regional competition go on to compete in Finals Labor Day weekend.
