Whether you are new to the printmaking process or have some experience under your belt, instructor Lisa K. Kesler – artist/printmaker from Illinois will be there to guide and inspire you as you create print made images and apply them to an unusual surface! Participants will be introduced to the linoleum block printmaking process. From there you will learn how to transfer a drawn image onto the linoleum and learn about the different types of carving tools and the best carving techniques. Lisa will show how to apply ink to the block and print their designs onto a sheet of Japanese tissue paper. The printed tissue would be allowed to dry for at least 48
hours. Participants will then paint their wood houses with acrylic paints before mounting their tissue paper prints to the sides with acrylic varnish. No previous experience necessary, all supplies included.
