$14.00 - $17.00 per hour

JOB TITLE:                 Loan Support Documentation (General)

JOB SUMMARY

The duties will include, but not be limited to, support to all Commercial, Ag and Real Estate Loan Officers.  They will perform various support duties pertinent to meeting the needs of our customers.

They will also be expected to build and maintain relationships with customers by creating good rapport and providing on-going support regarding products and services. They should promote an environment where the banking needs of current and prospective customers are consistently met in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties

 

  1. Check back extensions, modifications, participation payments, and other loan maintenance previously completed by co-workers for accuracy and data entry errors.
  2. Check Back all Credit Card Balancing and Maintenance.
  3. Track all Commercial, Ag and Installment Insurance
  4. Contact parties outside the bank as required, i.e.: county officials and insurance agents acting on behalf of the bank.
  5. Pull credit Reports and Flood Certificates
  6. Handle phone calls and research requests for loan customers.
  7. Responsible for filing Commercial and Ag loan documentation once scanned by our E-Service’s Department.

 

Secondary Duties

 

  1. Backup for processing Business Manager payments.
  2. Backup for processing all inhouse payments/advances for all inhouse loans, sold loans, and participation loans.
  3. Backup for floor plan payments and new floor plans.
  4. Backup for processing UMB and Fed spreadsheet.
  5. Backup for monitoring and updating Commercial, Ag, and Participation Loan credit displays and credit line changes.
  6. Backup for all documentation for Commercial, Ag, and Instalment Loans.
  7. Backup for booking and funding Commercial, Ag, Installment, and Participation Loans.
  8. Backup for processing participation payments and advances.
  9. Monitor all spreadsheets associated with the Loan Department.
  10. Backup for ordering appraisals requests.
  11. Backup for annually purging of all loan documentation according to the record retention book.
  12. Backup to prepare mortgage releases.
  13. Backup for processing all UCC filing and monitoring.
  14. Backup for mailing paid notes to customers upon payoff processing any lien releases necessary.
  15. Backup for assisting with processing consumer loan applications.
  16. Backup for process APR win on all installment loans.
  17. Prepare loan closing documents for loan officers as requested.
  18. Backup for ordering coupon books when loan payments are specified for that payment arrangement.
  19. Backup for input new loans onto Xperience system.
  20. Backup for processing daily reports, payment notices, advances, past dues, and etc.
  21. Backup for processing Cure Notices and Loan Denial Notices when requested.
  22. Daily balancing of our General Ledger Reports in relationship to the loan department.
  23. Backup for processing new loan check back put into Xperience system previously completed by co-workers to check for accuracy and any data entry error.
  24. Back up for inputting extensions, modifications, and other loan maintenance.
  25. Backup for process loan draw requests and payments.
  26. Backup for process and track all UCC filing, titles, UCC’s, insurance and any other documents needed to complete the file.
  27. Backup for maintaining a tickler system for all missing loan documentation such as titles, insurance for installment loans and UCC’s.
  28. Backup for Monthly review Credit Reporting duties.
  29. Backup for process loan charge off’s and non-accrual requests.

 

 

Other Responsibilities

           

  1. Be alert to cross sell other bank products when opportunities arise to assist customers.
  2. Participate in outside civic activities that enhance the bank, personal growth, and the community.
  3. Remain current on all banking regulations tied to the job duties.
  4. Responsible for loss prevention and security efforts per this position.
  5. All other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION  

Completion of a high school degree or equivalent to a high school diploma.  Prior banking experience demonstrating proficiency performing job duties is preferred, but not required.  Preferably possessing 3-5 years of banking experience preferred but not required.

 

COMPETENCIES

Technical Skills:

Requires a basic understanding of how to operate basic Microsoft PC software and be knowledgeable about Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must be competent in internet usage and can use the PC to gather information from core systems. Solid understanding of all banking products and terminologies is helpful.  Possess good typing and written communication skills.

Customer Service:

Must understand the role of customer service in a community bank and financial services environment.  Respond sensitively to the needs and priorities of the customer (both internal and external); recognize and take the appropriate action to meet their needs; cooperate in establishing an effective working relationship with customers to gain their respect and loyalty.

Administrative:

Able to handle multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.  This position requires strong organizational skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.  Must be a good listener and able to follow directions.  Must handle all customer and company information in a confidential manner. Be punctual in the job responsibilities. Attention to detail when completing financial transactions, resolving problems and completing basic math calculations is required, such as subtract, addition, multiply and division.  Proficient in using whole numbers, fractions and decimals is helpful. Possessing strong organizational skills and time management will be required.

Sound judgement in decision making when considering cost and benefit of potential actions is desired.

Adaptability:

Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.  Must exercise independent judgment under moderate supervision.
