General Job Summary: This is a part-time, 27.5 hour a week position primarily at the Estherville Campus. Provide individual and small group tutoring to current students on campus or virtually. Recruit students to the TRIO-SSS Program. Assist students in improving academic achievement by clarifying learning problems and work on study skills. Other assistance may include reviewing class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, or working on solutions to problems. Academic coaching/tutoring is supplemental to classroom teaching. May be required to travel between campuses using personal vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Strong Math and Science skills with three years previous teaching or tutoring experience in high school level or above is desired.
May be required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check.
